Cake Decorator

Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and creative Cake Decorator to join our team. Our cake decorator is relied on to frost, and decorate our specialty cake orders. The ideal candidate will be able to perfectly construct and decorate a cake that meets our high-quality standards, and will be called upon to work at the bakery during high-volume work weeks (i.e. holidays, graduation, etc.).

We are seeking an individual who can be flexible with work hours, and displays a positive and friendly attitude when interacting with customers and coworkers. Applicants must be able to produce professional quality cakes, and will be asked to submit a cake portfolio when applying.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and cake decorating, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to create visually stunning cakes that delight our customers.

Duties

  • Expertly frost, and decorate cakes to match our high standard
  • Decorate cakes according to customer specifications, utilizing various techniques and styles.
  • Collaborate with team members to fulfill customer orders efficiently and effectively.
  • Stay updated on current trends in cake decorating and pastry arts to enhance skills and offerings.
  • Produce consistent bakery products to meet our high-quality standards
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment
  • Memorize product and service offerings
  • Wash, dry, and put away dishes
  • Fill inventory

Requirements

  • Proven experience in cake decorating with a portfolio of your work.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and kitchen hygiene.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative flair with an eye for detail in cake design and presentation.
  • Familiarity with various baking techniques, pastry preparation, and catering services is a plus.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Flexible weekday, weekend, and holiday availability
  • Wednesday, Thursday and Friday availability required

Lead Baker

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation and production, with a focus on creating high-quality baked goods. This role requires creativity, attention to detail, and a commitment to food safety standards. As a Baker, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional products to our customers while maintaining a positive and efficient kitchen environment.

Our Baker is relied on to follow recipes and bake our cake layers & cupcakes in high volume, while working in a fast-paced environment. The Baker is requires to wrap all cakes, label/date and organize them in our freezers adhering to the “first in first out” method. We are looking for baker who will contribute to the productivity of a cross-functional team in our kitchen. The ideal candidate will be able to consistently replicate our recipes and bake our cakes to match our high quality expectations.

This position has VERY flexible hours, you can make your own schedule, working 2-3, six (6) hours shifts per week- that work for your schedule (including early mornings, evenings, weekends ETC)

Duties

  • Prepare and bake a variety of cake layers, cupcakes, cookies & other baked goods, according to established recipes.
  • Accurately interpret and follow recipes for cake batters
  • Produce consistent bakery products to meet our high-quality standards
  • Monitor oven and ensure items are not over baked and rotated regulars to ensure an even bake.
  • Check inventory levels of baking supplies and assist in ordering as needed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the baking area, including equipment and utensils.
  • Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely production and delivery of baked goods.
  • Wash, dry, and put away dishes

Requirements

  • No previous experience required, as long as you and passionate in baking, we can teach you the rest!
  • This position has VERY flexible hours, can be any 2-3 , 6 hours shifts that work for your schedule (including early mornings, evenings, weekends ETC)
  • Strong knowledge of food handling, food safety standards, and best practices in baking.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Familiarity with various baking equipment and tools.
